Tiny Tots is the perfect starting point for young children to discover the joy of being active, building confidence, and making new friends.
Designed for children aged 3–5, Tiny Tots offers a fun, play-based introduction to Little Athletics. Through imaginative games and simple activities, children explore the basics of running, jumping and throwing in a safe, supportive and energetic environment.
This modified program focuses on developing fundamental movement skills while also supporting physical, social, emotional and cognitive growth. Every session encourages curiosity, creativity and active play — helping children learn naturally while having fun.
Sessions are guided by friendly coaches, supportive club parents and enthusiastic older athletes, creating a welcoming space where children feel encouraged, included and proud of their achievements.
In season 2026-2027, Springwood will be running the Tiny Tots program on Wednesday (5pm – 5:45pm) and Friday (5pm – 5:45pm)

Under 9 to Under 12 athletes continue to build and refine their event skills while being introduced to new techniques and events. Athletes begin learning more advanced skills, such as the rotational throw technique and the flop high jump, while also competing in extension events, including javelin and triple jump.
From Under 9, athletes have the opportunity to represent the Centre at regional competitions, including Relays and Championships, and potentially qualify for state-level competitions.
While competition becomes a more prominent part of the athletic experience during these years, the primary focus remains on personal improvement, skill development, confidence building, and creating lasting friendships. Athletes are encouraged to challenge themselves, celebrate their progress, and enjoy being part of a supportive team environment.

Senior athletes join us for many different reasons — to improve performance, develop new skills, challenge themselves in competition, stay active, or simply enjoy the social side of the sport.
Through our Senior Sharks Leadership Program, athletes are encouraged to develop leadership skills and take on positions of responsibility within the Centre, helping to support younger athletes and contribute to our club community.
Whatever their goals, every athlete will find a welcoming and supportive environment at Springwood Little Athletics, where they can continue to grow, achieve, and enjoy being part of the Sharks family.
